Created iPhone app for calculating BMI
Friday 2 december I had an idea for creating an app for the iPhone because a customer asked me a question which triggered this idea. I wanted to know how fast I was able to create an app for the iPhone. How long would it take from idea till the app was available in the Apple iTunes App Store. Today I got the answer : it took me 9 days. Today, 13 december, Apple approved the app.
I created the app in English, Spanish, German and Dutch. It’s a free app. Income has to come from the advertisements.

LoL – no iPhone 5 but a iPhone 4S
Today I spoke with my collegues Technical Support Apple products during lunch that I believe there will be NO announcement of the iPhone 5 this evening. At least that was my guess. I told that my humble opinion was that they will announce an iPhone 4S with an A5 dualcore processor and maybe with some hardware support for the new rumored voice control but this is all a surprise, this is done well by the marketing department of Apple…. and now we finally know:
New in the iPhone4S
- HSDPA 3g will support maximum of 14,4 Mbps downloadspeeds
- Photocamera can make photos with resolution of 3264×2448 pixels and video recording in 1080p (FullHD) with stabilisation and noise reduction
- Promised a better light management and able to make even quicker photos
- Intelligent voice control software Siri for your phone, not known at the moment if this solution is software only or this will require a special CPU
- iOS5
- Besides 16 and 32 also in 64GB model available
iOS 5 will come available for the iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPad 1 and 2 and the 3rd/4th generation iPod Touch on 12 october 2011. The Dutch version will be available 2 weeks later. Together with iOS5 Apple will also make iCloud available to his customers.

- iAnnotate PDF for iPad (reading, mark PDFs)
- Air Video voor iPad (view any video on your PC/Mac anywhere (also via internet) on our iPad)
- F1™ 2011 Timing App – Championship Pass (view realtime stats on iPad during F1 game)
- Star Walk (look into the sky with your iPad and explore the universe)
- LogMeIn Ignition (connect to any LogMeIn client via your iPad)
- WiFi Analyzer (analyze WiFi routers, signal strength but also channel ranking) note : from iOS5 this doesn’t work anymore, but via jailbreak WiFiFoFum is still working.
- Facebook (Official Facebook app for iPad)
- Shazam for iPad (use Shazam to listen to a song and it will recognize it)
- Twitter (Official Twitter app for ipad)
Some apps need an active internet connection while using the app.
